Meet us

It’s wonderful to be part of a supportive,

growing club. I really enjoyed myself and am

already looking forward to the next meeting.

It’s amazing that waited nearly 50 years to find something that I can develop and actually be good  at. I feel that I’ve found that with Stevenage Speakers Club. I’m really looking forward to learning, growing and being part of the club.

Ade Dennis, founder member

Thank you for the warm welcome you

have afforded to myself and all the guests   at the new Stevenage Speakers Club. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and, although for me it is going to be a long journey, I am looking forward to improving my skills and strengthening friendships together within the group.

Andrea Lee, new member

John Allsop, visiting Toastmaster

I felt a real welcome at

Stevenage Speakers Club, the meeting

was extremely well structured, anyone who wished to speak had the opportunity to do so with no pressure on those who chose not to.

To sum up my experience: Fun, Friendly and Supportive, which are the three  ingredients which makes learning exciting,

enjoyable and rewarding.

Richard Rutty – Richard is a keen Rugby and Golf enthusiast, but confesses to playing both badly! However, he is the biggest fan of Toastmasters having been part of the wonderful self-paced journey for nearly 6 years. Richard has developed personally and as a leader outside of Toastmasters because of the skills he has learned through his membership. He now brings those skills together in his day to day role as a successful small business owner.

Nigel Oseland – An environmental psychologist, workplace strategist, author, university lecturer, TEDx speaker and professional speaker invited to present worldwide. Nigel has been a Toastmaster for almost 6 years, he was the UK South PR Manager 2017/18 and is also a member of Berkhamsted Speakers and Cornerstone Communicators.

Steve Campion – Steve works for a multinational hospitality company, improving HR business processes and use of technology. He spends too much of his time in airports.  Steve has worked to start several successful Toastmasters clubs and believes that learning should be fun. He is the past President of East Herts Speakers club in Hertford and is currently serving as Division H Director (District 71).

Vinette Hoffman-Jackson – TEDx Speaker and author of the book Did the Right Sperm Win? First and only female speaker to win the Toastmasters UK & Ireland (District 71) International Speech contest and the London “Speaker Factor” for the Professional Speaking Association. Currently a professional motivational speaker delivering keynote speeches and workshops nationally and internationally.
